The moon landing was the last time humanity rallied around a common cause.
So to celebrate its 50th anniversary, and Volkswagen’s renewed commitment to carbon neutrality, we worked with Volkswagen on a ‘New Mission’ to declare our bold intentions for a company committed to driving bigger.
Using a newly released version of David Bowie's iconic ‘Space Oddity’ (recorded in his London apartment), we showcased poignant moments of the world galvanizing around humanity’s greatest achievement. We then juxtapose the challenges we faced in getting to the moon, with the challenge we now face back on Earth.
And that although the issues of climate change seem insurmountable, the moon landing is testament to what can be achieved when we all drive in the same direction.
